Wishing you all a Merry Christmas

Yes...it's been a while since the last post.

I've been to Washington, did my guest host stint on WXLM and have been busy putting out advance pages as i try to use up what leftover vacation time I have before the end of the year.

But finally...I seem to be ahead of the curve, so I thought I'd take a moment and wish you all a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We'll have more to say after the holidays are over.

Quick comment on your column in this morning's paper:

I agree with your assessment of why Senator Lieberman has endorsed Senator McCain. I think, as I understand his beliefs, he had no other choice but to support a person from 'the other party'.

I realize there are many who think you should support a particular political party (especially if you're a emmber of it), but you should support the person whose values and beliefs most closely reflect your own (that's how I vote and hope how everyone else does, too).

In a perfect world, you are attracted to that political party where your ideas and ideals are both valued (and regarded as valuable), but when that doesn't prove to be the case, the heart sometimes must lead the head.

I support candidates for public office for their passion and advocacy not their circumspection and calculation.

I don't support Sen Lieberman's choice for President (my mind is STILL not made up), but I support his right to make his choice for the person he feels is most qualified.-bill kenny
